FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

It is with great pleasure and immense pride that I welcome you to the 13th edition of the Panamerican Food & Music Festival, presented by TD!

We began over a decade ago as a small celebration of the diverse cultures and cuisine that define the Americas, and today we have grown into one of the most anticipated culinary and musical events in Canada. This year, we continue that tradition by presenting the Western Hemisphere’s rich flavors, rhythms, and traditions, and bringing together communities from across North, Central, and South America, and the Caribbean.

Highlighting the unique stories, heritage, and creativity of each participating culture, our focus country this year is Mexico, where traditional dishes, songs and dances have passed down through generations to the colourful contemporary cultural expressions that we enjoy today.

PANAMFEST is a living, breathing celebration of Panamerican identities. This is best seen in the Panamerican Parade, our largest single event, with some 500 international performers, and 25 countries showing off their most festive Carnaval traditions. Our talented chefs, musicians, and artisans remind us that food and music are powerful tools for connection and cultural pride.

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to our sponsors, partners, and government funders (including the City of Toronto – especially Shalini Srivastava, and the Governments of Ontario and Canada) for making this festival possible. Special thanks also to our dedicated planning team, Board of Directors and Festival volunteers. Most importantly, thank you to all our guests for bringing your energy, curiosity, and enthusiasm. I hope we leave you inspired and more connected to the incredible cultural mosaic we share.

Enjoy the festival!
