The award-winning Panamerican Food and Music Festival (PANAMFEST) is Canada’s largest celebration of the diverse music, folklore, cuisine, and culture of the Americas. It is produced by ArtsXplosion, a non-profit cultural organization based in Toronto. ArtsXplosion has already successfully delivered 13 editions of the PANAMFEST, fulfilling its mission of bringing together people of diverse origins through cultural celebrations.
PANAMFEST already ranks among the best annual festivals in Canada. It has twice been named the Best Latin Festival in Canada by the prestigious Latinos Awards held in Montreal. Over its history, the Festival has grown in popularity and scale, attracting more than 60,000 visitors in 2025 and generating more than $26 million in economic impact (TREIM). Languages spoken at the festival include English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese.
The 13th annual PANAMFEST was held at Nathan Phillips Square July 18 to 20, 2025 expanding to three days for the first time. Visitors experienced the colourful rhythms, colours and flavours of the Western Hemisphere through a diverse, free program of multicultural heritage music and dance, both traditional and contemporary, on a large central stage. There was also a culinary program with cooking demonstrations and competitions, a vendor’s market featuring international food and artisan vendors, interactive events for the public, and children’s activities. Admission to the Festival is always free.
The festival reinforces Toronto’s reputation as one of the world’s most culturally diverse cities, fostering unity among residents while welcoming new Canadians from the Panamerican region. It celebrates Panamerican communities by presenting heritage folkloric groups, contemporary musical groups, artisans, and chefs from North, Central and South America and the Caribbean, many of whom are members of BIPOC equity deserving groups and gives them opportunities while receiving payment for their work.
Enjoy the festival!
